Lott Industries Promotes Murnen to C.E.O.
Joseph Murnen, 42, a resident of West Toledo, has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer of Lott Industries, Inc. Lott Industries is the not-for-profit corporation that provides employment for persons in Lucas County with mental retardation and developmental disabilities.
Mr. Murnen, who received his MBA from the University of Toledo, joined Lott Industries in 1997 as Business Manager. He is credited with leading the effort that resulted in Lott Industries becoming a QS 9000 certified supplier for the automobile industry.
Under Mr. Murnen’s leadership, Lott Industries has increased production efficiency through training and process modification.
Lott Industries employs more than 900 individuals at three modern production facilities boasting 300,000 square feet of production floor. Lott Industries specializes in light assembly, packaging, sorting, document destruction and mobile work crews.
